Director of Business Development (AI Services & Staffing)
Company Overview
TECQMIND is an end-to-end AI professional services and staffing partner focused on the "how." We build the teams and the infrastructure required to turn AI potential into production-scale reality. We provide high-level strategic leadership (Fractional CTOs), curated engineering talent, and full-stack custom AI implementation.
The Role
As the Director of Business Development, you will be the driving force behind TECQMIND’s growth. This is not a traditional sales role; it is a consultative position that requires a deep understanding of the current AI landscape. You will identify companies struggling to move past the "AI pilot phase" and present them with the technical blueprints and world-class talent they need to scale.
You will act as the bridge between a client’s business goals and our specialized engineering teams, helping them navigate the transition from AI curiosity to production-scale reality.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Growth: Identify and secure partnerships with enterprises and high-growth startups requiring specialized AI talent or custom infrastructure.
Consultative Selling: Lead high-level technical discovery sessions to understand a client's specific AI bottlenecks (e.g., data architecture, model performance, or leadership gaps).
AI Market Evangelism: Stay at the absolute forefront of AI trends (e.g., Agentic workflows, RAG, MLOps, proprietary model fine-tuning) to effectively communicate TECQMIND’s value proposition.
Proposal & Roadmap Design: Collaborate with our internal technical leads and Fractional CTOs to draft project scopes, staffing plans, and implementation roadmaps.
Relationship Management: Build long-term relationships with C-suite executives (CTOs, CIOs, CEOs) as a trusted advisor on their AI journey.
Partnership Positioning: Effectively market the "TECQMIND Advantage"—our unique global network of engineering partners in Taiwan—and our ability to provide "Continuous Optimization."
Required Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years in Business Development, Technical Sales, or Partnerships, specifically within the professional services, IT staffing, or SaaS sectors.
AI Literacy: A strong working knowledge of the AI lifecycle. You should be comfortable discussing Large Language Models (LLMs), data engineering, MLOps, and the challenges of deploying AI at scale.
Proven Track Record: Experience closing six-figure service contracts or complex staffing agreements with enterprise-level clients.
Communication: Exceptional ability to translate technical concepts into business value for non-technical stakeholders.
Network: An existing network within the tech industry, specifically among technical decision-makers, is a major plus.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual Proficiency: The ability to speak Mandarin is a "nice-to-have" and would facilitate smoother communication with our overseas technical partners in Taiwan.
Technical Background: A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or previous experience in an engineering role before moving into the business side.
Global Mindset: Experience working with distributed/global teams and an understanding of the advantages of offshore/nearshore engineering models.
