Technical Project Manager (AI & Biotech)
Company Overview
TECQMIND is an end-to-end AI professional services and staffing partner focused on the "how." We build the specialized teams and infrastructure required to turn technical potential into production-scale reality. Operating as a strategic bridge between US-headquartered clients and an elite engineering hub in Taiwan, we ensure global projects are delivered with precision and speed.
The Role
As the Technical Project Manager, you are the pulse of our delivery engine. Your mission is to ensure that complex, cross-functional projects—ranging from custom AI infrastructure builds to bioinformatics pipeline deployments—are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
You will manage the "Global Handshake," coordinating daily between US-based stakeholders and our specialized technical teams in Taiwan. You are responsible for removing blockers, managing risks, and ensuring that our "Production-Scale Reality" promise is met for every client.
Key Responsibilities
Cross-Border Execution: Manage end-to-end project lifecycles across multiple time zones (US and Taiwan), ensuring seamless handoffs and 24/7 project momentum.
Hybrid Methodology: Apply Agile frameworks for AI/Software projects (Scrum/Kanban) and Waterfall/Milestone-based tracking for Biotech projects with strict regulatory or clinical dependencies.
Stakeholder Synchronization: Act as the primary operational contact for clients, providing transparent reporting on project health, burn rates, and timeline projections.
Resource Orchestration: Work closely with the Director of Global Delivery and Technical Recruiter to ensure the right engineers and scientists are allocated to the right tasks at the right time.
Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify technical, regulatory, or logistical bottlenecks (e.g., data availability issues or FDA submission delays) and develop contingency plans.
Tooling & Visibility: Maintain "single source of truth" project dashboards in Jira, Linear, or Asana, ensuring both the client and the Taiwan teams are perfectly aligned.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years of Project Management experience in a high-tech environment (Software, AI, or Life Sciences).
Technical Literacy: You must understand the "Language of the Lab" and the "Language of the Code." You should be comfortable discussing API integrations and MLOps alongside clinical milestones and genomic data flows.
Project Management Mastery: Expert-level knowledge of project management software and methodologies. PMP or Scum Master certification is a major plus.
Communication Mastery: Exceptional organizational and verbal communication skills. You must be able to manage "difficult" conversations regarding scope creep or timeline shifts with professionalism.
Operational Rigor: A track record of managing multi-month, six-figure technical engagements for enterprise clients.
Highly Desired: Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual Proficiency: Professional fluency in both English and Mandarin (written and verbal). This is critical for managing the nuances of daily communication with our technical teams in Taiwan.
Industry Versatility: Previous experience working in a professional services or consulting firm that handled both software and hardware/scientific projects.
Regulatory Awareness: Familiarity with SOC2, HIPAA, or FDA compliance requirements as they relate to project timelines.
